Εβδομάδα 32: 🇦🇱🇨🇾🇬🇷 3 COUNTRIES 3 DAYS!

Γεια σου πάλι!

Alrighty so this can all basically be summed up in 3 points:
•ALBANIA
•CYPRUS DISTRICT CONFERENCE
•GREEK BOOK OF MORMON TRANSLATION!

SO MUCH TRAVELING! Cyprus to Greece to Albania, back to Greece, and then home to Cyprus. It's been a random week and it feels like we didn't get too much accomplished since we were consumed by meetings on meetings on meetings. But, we gotta love it right?!

Awesome investigator update: Llhyne and Helen will be getting BAPTIZED this Sunday! They are both so excited! ALSO Llhyne informed us that her family members are now being taught by Elders in the Philippines! Miracles!! ♡

TOP QUOTE of the week:
*Talking to Elder Free about if he's gonna be called as district leader again even tho he'll already be a zone leader next transfer* ...he leans over and whispers, "Do you know how easy it will be to find a girl at BYU if I told her I was zone leader AND district leader at the same time?!"

SISTERS CONFERENCE IN ALBANIA 🇦🇱
We flew into Athens, Greece late Monday night and then woke up at 4:30am to get to the airport. 1st flight to Tirana, 1st time in ALBANIA! We got there and the APs picked us up and took us to the mission home where the rest of the sisters were! I LOVED being with everyone! All the STLs of each of the 6 zones gave training and it was GREAT! Including Sister Kruger and I ;) our training went so well! And absolutely applied to each of us. UNITY is key in a companionship, or in any relationship really. We each receive revelation and TOGETHER we can EXPECT MIRACLES. It was all over an amazing, uplifting, and spiritually motivating meeting. Some of the things that were really emphasized and I loved include:
1. Our Savior has done everything motivated out of LOVE. And if we have not charity, we are nothing.
2. Our words are POWERFUL. With them we can
dry tears, heal hearts, and elevate lives
3. We must always center on Christ, and follow the brethren. And be grounded in our Savior.
4. Do NOT get discouraged! That's when the adversary can get in our heads.
5. The Lord does not expect immediate perfection, but he does expect immediate progress/effort

After all the trainings, 3 of the sisters came up to me and asked, "Are you Kaylee Gale?!" They all recognized me from before the mish since they were at BYU! Afton Mann, Hannah Sutton, and Madison Butters! I remember that we had all been messaging over Instagram when I was trying to find sisters going to Greece! But then everyone I found going to my mish was Albanian speaking.

They ALL want to go to the Greece region of the mission haha, especially Cyprus. I wrote out their Greek names and they thought it was the coolest thing ever haha. It was really funny because Sister Merkel afterwards came up to me and commented, "how do you always know everyone?!" I guess that's what happens when you're at BYU! I wish the Albanian missionaries could serve in Cyprus too since ya don't need Greek there! I felt like I was back at BYU for a bit catching up and eating lunch with em, loved it. Most of the Albanian speaking missionaries are American too so that was fun to be with em. I love that our area of the mission has so much variety tho, I don't know what I'd do without meeting my favorite English companions ♡

6 of us Greek sisters went with 2 Albanian sisters and we all went straight out for some street contacting! Sister Kruger and I stuck together just like good old times and we showed them what the Cyprus STLs could do ;) we still got this unity thing down even in a whole other country and only knowing a few words in Albanian! We were saying "Përshëndetje", "hello" in Albanian, to literally every single person we walked by. It was sooo fun! We LOVE being companions again! And then we made a goal to pass out 1 Albanian Book of Mormon. Well... we ended up giving away THREE! even though we couldn't speak Albanian, we were able to communicate enough for them to understand how special the BoM is and to read it! Also, the Albanians are so nice, which is way different than talking to Greek people who are very prideful and stubborn in the Greek Orthodox ways. So... just send us all to Albania already! We got a good amount of contacts for the Albanian sisters and it was a good solid night of finding.

Wednesday we flew back to Cyprus... home sweet home! I honestly missed Larnaca a lot. It was good to get back. But the rest of the week was just packed with meetings so we weren't able to meet with hardly any of our investigators :(

🇬🇷 THE NEW AND IMPROVED TRANSLATION OF GREEK BOOK OF MORMON IS OFFICIALLY OUT AND FOR THE 1ST TIME EVER IN THE GOSPEL LIBRARY APP! FINALLY!! This has been long, LONG, awaited!

🇨🇾 Saturday and Sunday were district conference. All the members, all 4 branches, in Cyprus came to Larnaca for that, a total count of 91 people! Elder Tunnicliff from the Area 70 came and spoke to us! I loved his talks and the points he emphasized. It was absolutely incredible to see the whole of Cyprus together, and to see all of our recent converts united together and how the Lord is blessing this country immensely!

This week I've gained a deeper understanding that our Savior NEVER quits on us, and we shouldn't quite on anybody else. We are changing agents for our family members, whether it's on this side of the veil or the other.

A quick thought for you all...if the Savior came into the room and addressed each of us, what would he ask us to do?
I think he would tell us to simply "FEED MY SHEEP!EVERYONE needs to be invited to come into the covenant path, EVERYBODY needs to stay on the covenant path, and its our responsibility is to RESCUE them.

Don't we wish we could constantly be covered in protection from the adversary, from spiritual attacks that knock us off the covenant path? Well, the thing is...WE ARE! we are covered by the atoning, merciful power, and grace of the Atonement of Jesus Christ. We allow the saving power of Christ in our lives as we repent. Christ shares his attributes with us, His strengths become ours through covenants. He will cover us, he will protect us, and he will bless our lives as we repent joyfully. We also must learn to receive personal revelation. This is BLESSING to each of us! It's is a hidden agenda made known unto us through the Holy Ghost.

Είμαι πάρα πολύ ευγνώμων για σας! Και την αγάπη που νιώθω απο εσάς καθημέρα. Θα μιλήσουμε την επόμενη εβδομάδα!

Γειάαα! ΣΑΣ αγαπώ!
