Welcome back to the diary of the quarantined missioanry! Day 38 and going strong...ish haha. Gonna go a different route with this weekly ;) 1) since there's not really anything to write about and 2) I figured my week through pictures captions would be a lot more interesting than reading a ton of words! So... PICS! 7-8 Sister Stillo's bday! I whipped up some fun Mickey mouse pancakes while she was showering (perks of her being a long showerer gives me more time) and set up a roof top breakfast to start off her 21st right ;) then our district surprised her with a lemon cake later on with fresh lemons off the elders trees, super yummy. 1-4, 6, 9-11 Χριστός ανέστη!! Easter was this Sunday! We dyed eggs and contemplated dying the church turtle too but decided it would be best not too... I still think we shoulda tho, but that's just me. One leg each color right? Couldn't miss it! Fines were doubled for anyone caught out on Easter day visiting friends or family for

Εβδομάδα 61: IT SPEAKS GREEK??!

So the week went a lil like this... not too much of an update really I love reading the Book of Mormon with Jhoe and hearing his insights. I'm really grateful that his heart is being touched by the constant Spirit that is brought every time we study! Saturday and Sunday night we were reading and discussing Moroni 7 together. Jhoe was explaining to me how Lucifer is trying to be happy by spreading the pandemic, but if you have God you will be okay because good always wins over evil. Another great things he said was that if needed to go to war then he would bring the Bible and the Book of Mormon, while others would carry swords or knives as weapons, because he is always stronger with God on his side! We always end up having double opening and closing prayers, 1 in Bisaya and then he requests one in Greek haha. He told me "it doesnt matter what language it's in because the spirit will always speak to my heart the message of prayer". He's doing great and I can see h

Not really sure how we managed to fill our week but hey, one more week closer to being outta this quarantined missionary life... which I pray is still in our future. At least after April 28th that is since our national quarantine got extended. I think having general conference to look forward to definitely helped to pass time... which I loved btw and, if you haven't watched it, here's the link: https://www.churchofjesuschrist.org/broadcasts?lang=eng Now there's no excuse to missing it, truly inspired lemme tell you ;) It's been a daily back and forth between our apartment and the church. Every time we are out we gotta have our passport and text the government or fill out this fancy form telling them we're either 1) getting food 2) exercising or 3) helping someone. Same ole same ole. Translating videos, making videos, basketball, and these past 2 days re-correcting the updated translation of the Book of Mormon. Not sure if y'all remembered from about 6 months
