Εβδομάδα 62: ΚΑΛΌ ΠΆΣΧΑ! 🌷🐣
Welcome back to the diary of the quarantined missioanry! Day 38 and going strong...ish haha.
Gonna go a different route with this weekly ;) 1) since there's not really anything to write about and 2) I figured my week through pictures captions would be a lot more interesting than reading a ton of words!
So... PICS!
7-8 Sister Stillo's bday! I whipped up some fun Mickey mouse pancakes while she was showering (perks of her being a long showerer gives me more time) and set up a roof top breakfast to start off her 21st right ;) then our district surprised her with a lemon cake later on with fresh lemons off the elders trees, super yummy.
1-4, 6, 9-11 Χριστός ανέστη!! Easter was this Sunday! We dyed eggs and contemplated dying the church turtle too but decided it would be best not too... I still think we shoulda tho, but that's just me. One leg each color right? Couldn't miss it! Fines were doubled for anyone caught out on Easter day visiting friends or family for entertainment (since Easter is THE holiday in Greece aka bigger than Christmas in the States). Anddd our weekly tan competition is officially in the works, may or may not have an advantage haha. We had an Easter dinner together with some classic eggs wars afterwards!
5 Facebook video content behind the scenes! Man did that day have us cracking up pretty good. The elders had a cool idea to have a timelapse of me drawing out a Greek scripture and make it all cool. I learned lettering in a different language is hard business, but it ended up being pretty sweet. Also put together a cool music video because dang does sister Stillo have talent! 1st greek EFY song out on the web, it's so good! Here's the link if ya wanna check it out!

And just a lil thought I had this week :)
There was definitely some revelation going on when the song, "Go and Do" was written for the Youth Theme of 2020. If you listen to the lyrics, they are written for exactly this time in our lives. All of us are in places right now that we did not expect to be. Some of us expected to be out in the streets preaching the gospel, or in college, or progressing in our proffesion, or in a totally different country. But God has another plan for us. "I know if I follow him, follow Him in faith, He will ease my burdens and He'll provide a way." I testify that if we trust in Him, we can never go wrong.
Love,
Sister Gale
