Off she goes!!

Goodbyes are the worst and the hardest. We all survived and Kaylee's flights went as planned.

She left from PSC at 6:40 a.m. We showed up at 4:45 a.m., so early!! We had purchased a "pre-paid calling card" for her to use to check in with us, BUT fyi, pay-phones are mostly "extinct".

Fortunately, an airport customer service agent at MSP, let Kaylee use her cell-phone to call home. Her flight from MSP to Amsterdam was 8.5 hours long. She found a BYU-I student (not sure on details) who let her use his phone to video chat us at home again, and helped her find the next departure gate. Kaylee's last flight was to Manchester, England...arriving at 8:20 a.m. (which is 12:20 a.m. PST). Not sure what time they were picked up there and charter-bused to the MTC (30 min away)...but just to Manchester was 16.5 hours of traveling for our Kaylee.
Before all the actual goodbyes.

Saying good-bye's via facetime to those farther away.

  1. Brought tears to my eyes! So much love! If we can remember every moment like this, then we know what Heaven is like! Goodbye, sister Gale, see you in 18 months!
