Εβδομάδα 69: loopholes

You'd think things might normalize out here a bit but this week was just as wild as ever! Ya never know what to expect!

Some here's some of the crazy stuff:
• our front door key broke in the lock at 10:45 Tuesday night when we were trying to let Sister Reynoldson in because Sister Campbell was in the hospital and they wouldn't let Sis R stay. So sis R had to drive over and pick up the zone leaders who had some genius idea to hammer the spare key from the other side and pop the broken key out
• 5 missionaries in Albania were suppose to return home but their flights got canceled the day before and they are now detained indefinitely in the country. Already have an extra week in the mission field. Not sure what'd be going through my head if that happened to me
• 3 new sisters from the UK were scheduled to arrive here Thursday afternoon but they got deported by Germany... while all their luggage was kept in there too. Then Saturday they got flown through Sweden and made it here! Finally! But they had to stay in a hotel overnight for COVID testing. Sunday night we camped outside their hotel with the ZLS till 12am till their 24 hr release but they still didn't let em out. Now its Monday afternoon and they're still being held hostage by the government lol. Quite the good mems
• €900 ish was stolen from our missionary funds and used to purchase pornography, think there's a lot more productive things people could do with their quarantine time then hack into missionary's credit cards
• found out that President Nelson originally wanted ALL foreign missionaries home worldwide, but our Area President veto-ed that haha, so here we are
• there's been some crazy protest/riots happening here relating to everything going on back in the states. Hand made fire bombs were being through at the US Embassies so we were told to stay clear of the center
• set of our elder hit a motorcyclist
• YA GIRL IS TRAINING A NEW SISTER! we haven't gotten new missionaries since way back in December! I'll be in a new area called Αμπελόκηποι, more in the center of Athens this time. Not sure who my new companion will be but I should hopefully find out tonight if that meeting doesn't get rescheduled for a 3rd time.

So, I was reading in 2 Nephi 21:3 and wow! Can I just say that I am so at peace knowing that Christ is my judge? So often in life are we the victim of or the perpetrator of false judgments or accusations. This is simply because we see with our eyes. Christ sees us with His heart, and when you see with your heart love is always the first response.
I am so comforted to know that I will be standing side by side my very best friend who has always seen everything that I have ever done with His heart. When the world can't see where we stand and what we are going through, the Lord sees it, and better yet, feels it all with His heart. Every intention, every thought, every misunderstood gesture, every expression of the soul. He understands. He is the perfect Judge. What a blessing that is for all of us!

Also... I'M IN MY LAST TRANSFER. MY FINAL 6 WEEKS GUYS can ya believe it?! I'm excited to see what surprises the Lord has in store for these last days :))

I hope you all have a wonderful week!

Σας αγαπώ!
