Εβδομάδα 71: COP MAGNENTS

Man we are just a cop magnet! 6 of our elders were helping us clean out our old apartment when the landlord living below us called the cops! Best way go describe him is a psycho super hairy santa clause gone wrong. Yeah that's a pretty accurate description. He accused us of all living in the apartment even tho there were only suppose to be 2 people according to the contract. The cops asked if we were living with our boyfriends, motioning to 2 of the elders standing on our balcony still upstairs. Ha. Not. Also thought we were partying. I mean hey, they can go ahead and look what we got hiding up there and will find the 72 liters of waters we have to have for emergencies. Quite the party right?! We all laughed because everything we were being accused of was just wild from what was actually going on.

We explained the situation and the cops were confused why they were even called. They explained to our landlord yet again that of course the girls would ask their friends for help to move everything because they can't do it all themselves. At one point we were going to have to be taken down to the station to give testimonials but somehow we got out of it. All we know was our landlord was pissed, cops were confused, apparently we practice polygamy in Greece now n each have 3 boyfriends, and we throw some pretty wild water parties.

We told Παύλος, our cookie cop friend from last week, about it and he thought it was pretty crazy. Basically we're friends with all the cops around town now haha. Already round 2 with these police interactions in sister Kidd and I's companionship haha. Next week we'll be in handcuffs lol. Stay tuned ;)

Little unplanned finding this week when we went to exchange some England money. The lady recognized our tags and said she knew a friend of ours. We found out that it was a previous senior sister and they had planned to meet up several times but plans always got busy. That situation was a really good reminder to me that people notice us and we do leave an impact on them whether or not we realize it. Especially as we wear our Savior's name on our chest and represent Him in everything we do.

Zone conference was originally gonna be back to normal with President and Sister Anderson joing us from Albania BUT, unsure if they'd get stuck in quarantine here they decided itd be better to be safe than sorry and stayed put. The 6 Thess missionaries still flew in tho. We all got to the church right on time after traveling on the metro for way too long and from all over Athens just to find out the church building's power had just been cut. Just our luck lol. I swear something always happens the morning of zone conference days that delays our meeting! We all had to quickly change plans and shuttle over to the apartment church where a small Greek group meets. Never seen that place so full.

One thing we hit on this time was how each of us may start as soldiers but can become WARRIORS for the Lord as we are true, valiant, and exercise faith in Him just as the 2000 stripling warriors did. The temporary service for a greater good turns into a life long commitment as our hearts are changed and our devotion to the Savior becomes part of who we are. That's what I strive to do and if you don't already I hope will too!

Love you all!
Sister Gale :)
